Thank you to all of the staff at the AASC and Dr. Katzman’s team. Kayla, thank you for understanding and doing all that you could to insure that the covid testing did not damage any previous work I had in the sinus cavity (right side), accommodating the whole pregnancy test debacle and thank you for checking on me periodically. To those up front that I do not know, thank you for all of your help, understanding and kindness. Thank you for even the work you did post surgery to get those pesky hecklers to stop texting me about getting vaccinated. Janette (sorry if I spelled that incorrectly), thank you for trying your hardest to get the IV in and dealing with the touchy veins as well as helping Billy when you were able to and most importantly, thank you for being a nice person that actually treats people with kindness and help them through the process. Billy, I cannot begin to thank you enough; you were a rock star even when being pulled in all directions. You kept your same amazing personality through everything and thank you for taking the time to say a short prayer with me. Marc, thank you for being sweet and understanding. You give such calm and I think that is why I was able to smile. To those that I do not remember your names or never knew your names, thank you so much for being amazing and dealing with my idiosyncrasies with such grace and smiles. Despite them being crazy (to most people) you never made me feel bad, in fact, you all made me feel like it was no big deal and we see it all the time. Dominic, thank you for being a great support to me and making sure I had the proper medications as well as being there with Dr. Katzman. To Dr. Katzman and his team, thank you for being amazing and taking great care of me. You all are great people and I cannot thank you enough. During these past insanely difficult 12 years, you are the only ones that treated me like I mattered and was worth your time and efforts. For that, I cannot fully express my gratitude nor do it effectively. Dr. Katzman knows more about my life and career (all of the idiosyncrasies) and never once did any of you make me feel like a waste; you treated me with dignity and respect. I just hope that I did the same especially under anesthesia. It has never been an easy road and being socially inept made it more difficult. With that said, thank you for getting me to a better point where I can do more of what I used to with Simba. I know he has felt the last 12 years just as much (if not more). Thank you again to all of you for your amazing guidance, support and kindness through this process. *I did a research and design project on Charles Schulz during graduate school and everything clicked. Simba is my Snoopy and it felt appropriate that I share that with you (maybe it will all make since like it did for me.
