Shazier, once a key defensive player for the Steelers, faced a critical life change due to the injury sustained in the midst of his prime in the NFL.
The incident took place on what seemed an ordinary defensive play as Shazier tackled Bengals receiver Josh Malone. Although it appeared to be a routine stop, Shazier’s tackle technique led to an unfortunate outcome as his helmet made contact with Malone’s thigh pads.
